August is a very busy time for tourism in Humboldt County because of the idyllic weather, abundant natural beauty and big events such as Humboldt Bay Marathon!

Lodging:

Hotel Information:

  • Runners should plan to make hotel reservations early to secure a room in Eureka or Arcata. Additional lodging is available in Fortuna (~25 minute drive from start/finish areas)
  • There are many lodging choices from budget motels to elaborate Victorian Bed & Breakfast.
