We are excited to announce that the 2024 Humboldt Bay Marathon has been selected as the RRCA California State Championship Marathon!

Volunteering
We have different ways that you can help with this fun event. Choose yours!
Adults
Senior citizens who volunteer for community activities are actually doing themselves a huge favor!
Students
Students will receive a certificate acknowledging the number of hours they volunteer for this wonderful nonprofit event.
How it was in 2023?
Volunteer Information:
Course Monitoring and Traffic Control
- We need a lot of people out on the course during the race to make sure runners and drivers know where to go. Volunteers will help deploy traffic signs and barricades to close and reopen roads.
Start and finish areas
- We expect a good crowd at the Arcata Plaza (half marathon start) and at the C Street Plaza in Eureka (finish line for all races). Volunteers will help with food tables, parking information and more.
Pre- and Post-race setup and tear down
- We have plenty of work for volunteers in the days leading up to the race, and we also need a crew of volunteers to help pick up and put away everything after the race.
